The innovative Maxi-Sorb Delivery System utilized in our new multi-vitamin and mineral formulas set the new standards for bioavailablity. The Maxi-Sorb Delivery System is based on the use of specific enzymes, phospholipids, botanical extracts and unique binding agents to assure nutrient uptake. "Maxi-Sorb" synergists assure uptake uf nutrients by stimulating healthy digestion, facilitating active transport of nutrients and enhancing nutrient absorption to maximize bioavailability. In addition to stimulating absorption, this unique system includes ingredients, such as metabolically active nutrient forms, that are easier to utilize and require less work from the body.
- Bioperine® is a patented extract of black pepper that has been demonstrated to increase uptake of nutrients by stimulating th elining of the intestines. This gentle agent has been the subject of mumerous published human clinical trials.
- Plant Enzymes support nutrient uptake. Our blend includes Phytase, an enzyme that degrades phytate, a plant-based compound that can inhibit mineral absorption. Published research has demonstrated a synergy between plant enzymes and Bioperine®.
- Phospholipids are critical to nutrient transport and cellular delivery. Some phospholipids have even been demonstrated to change the permeability of the GI tract allowing for enhanced nutrient uptake.
- Binding Agents derived from plant cellulose can greatly affect tablet disintegration and capsule performance. By carefully selecting our binders, capsules and other excipients we have maximized nutrient bioavailability and stability.
- Metabolically Active Nutrients are an integral part of the Maxi-Sorb Delivery System. Nutrients often require an additional conversion step in order to become metabolically active and effective in the body. These conversions require energy and are dependent upon the optimal function of enzyme systems in the body.
