At N101.com we care about the environment just like you. We constantly strive to implement the best practices in recycling and conservation, while still providing cost effective, quality service for our customers. With that in mind we have set up the N101 Green Initiative.

What We Are Doing

Reusing Boxes & Packing Materials – Why throw out perfectly good boxes and packing materials? We asked ourselves that question. Many companies use new boxes printed with their logo as branding and marketing devices. Also, a fresh, pristine box looks much better than one that has a few marks on it. But if a box is still sturdy and reusable, why not use it again, save some money, avoid waste, and help the environment a little? That’s what we thought. So if we can reuse a box, we stamp it with our logo and ship it off for a second “life”. We also reuse packing materials. Again, why throw out perfectly good air pillows and bubble wrap when it can be reused?

Biodegradable Starch Packing Peanuts – Our packing peanuts are made of biodegradable starch. They are water soluble and dissolve rapidly when exposed to water. They leave no residue in landfills, nor do they harm our environment.

100% Green Power – We purchase 100% Green Power from the Green LA Program in both our warehouse and retail store. Our power grid does not supply actually green power at this time, so we pay additional premiums on 100% of our power usage. This additional premium is used to support renewable energy resources such as wind energy, hydropower, geothermal energy, solar power and biomass energy. Reduce Use of Shopping Bags – We encourage customers who shop in our retail store to bring their own reusable shopping totes or bags. We also provide customized N101 shopping totes in our store for customers to purchase at cost.
