Pumpkin Renew Cream (PRC) - FAQ

Q. Can I really use PRC on my acne? I am afraid of adding more oil to my already oily skin.
A. Yes and this is the hardest to overcome when one faces acne. But the benefit of the pumpkin seed oil in PRC is that it is rich in essential fatty acids (EFA�s). These EFA�s provide anti-inflammatory properties and regulate sebum (oil) production. If you are too oily, it will reduce the over activity of the sebaceous glands, if you are too dry, the EFA�s will bump up the oil production of these oil producing glands. In addition, pumpkin seeds contain high amounts of minerals, especially zinc. Zinc is imperative to the healing process of the skin and is a fantastic antioxidant.

Q. I am 55 and love your PRC. Is this the best cream for me?
A. The best cream for anyone over 35 years of age would be the deep repair cream since it has more cellular renewal properties. If you have been an avid sun worshiper for years and have premature wrinkles, you would be best served with the Supreme Polypeptide Cream.

Aqua, caprylic/capric triglyceride, coco-caprylate/caprate, shea butter, hexadecyl D-glucoside, octadecyl D-glucoside, cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, glycerin, pumpkin seed oil, xanthan gum, spin trap, epidermal growth factor, totarol, D-beta-fructan, chlorophyll, D-alpha-tocopherol, calendula officinalis oil, nutmeg essential oil, glycolic acid polymer, jasmine alcohol, sodium hydroxymethylglycinate, alcohol denatured (ethanol).

aqua: Distilled water
shea butter: A moisturizing, soothing emollient fat with cellular renewal properties from the fat of the karite nut tree.
caprylic/capric triglycerides: Emollient, has good spreading properties, promotes penetration and pigment dispersions. From coconut oil.
caprylate/caprate: A moisturizing agent derived from coconut milk.
sucrose stearate: A combination of sucrose and stearic acid. Stearic acid occurs naturally in butter acids, and cascarilla bark. Acts as a lubricant.
pumpkin seed oil: Excellent source of minerals, especially zinc. It helps skin renew as it moisturizes. Essential fatty acids help regulate sebum production.
sea algae: Contains the same essential nutrients, trace elements, and amino acids present in human blood plasma. It speeds the elimination of toxins from cells and is a natural cellular renewal ingredient.
cetearyl alcohol: An emulsifying and stabilizing wax produced from the reduction of plant oils and natural waxes. Also an emollient giving viscosity to a finished product.
glyceryl stearate: An emulsifier that assists in forming neutral, stable emulsions. It is also a solvent, humectant, and consistency regulator in water-in-oil and oil-in-water formulations. Plant source.
glycolic acid polymer: An AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) from rhubarb. It is less irritating than glycolic acid with properties of dissolving the binders (glue) that hold dead skin cells together. Promotes healthy glycine (simplest of all proteins, builds amino acids) production/utilization for collagen and elastin. Smoothes fine lines in older photo-aged skin, dissolves clogged pores in acne prone skin.
PBN: Very powerful antioxidant. Instead of destroying the rogue oxygen (free radical), it traps it then exports it into the respiratory cycle where it is utilized in tissue respiration. Also known as phenyl-butyl-nitrate or Spin Trap. From the nitrogen of plant roots.
ceteareth-20: An emollient and emulsifier from coconut or palm kernel oil.
EGF: Epidermal Growth Factor is a polypeptide (a protein molecule) that stimulates cell repair. From yeast.
totarol: A naturally occurring plant extract with potent anti-bacterial and antioxidant properties. Propionibacterium acne, the bacterium involved in acne, is particularly sensitive to this extract. Totarol is effective in the treatment of acne and rosacea. From the Totara tree in New Zealand.
calendula: Anti-inflammatory and antioxidant, commonly used to treat problem and acne skin. From the marigold flower.
nutmeg essential oil: Warming and comforting effect with antioxidant and antiseptic properties.

Suggested Use:

After cleansing and toning, apply pearl size to face and neck. In the morning, under sun screen and makeup.
