Solgar is proud to introduce a truly dairy, lactose, and milk-free probiotic powder for kids: our newly reformulated ABC Dophilus Powder. This proprietary formula, developed by Solgar over the course of several years, is unique in that no dairy is used in the manufacturing process.
Nearly all other milk-free probiotic products are grown in a culture medium that contains milk. Once the growth of the probiotics is complete, they are separated from the milk media and put in a dairy-free base. However, because Solgar is always striving to better our formulations, we were dedicated to finding a way to culture our probiotics without the use of milk - and we succeeded.
ABC Dophilus Powder is 100% safe for children who are allergic to, or choose not to eat, dairy. Each one half (1/2) teaspoon serving delivers 350 million viable microorganisms each of B. bifidum and S. thermophilus, plus 300 million viable microorganisms of B. infantis.
Research has shown that together, B. bifidum and S. thermophilus help soothe irritable babies. That same combination, in conjunction with B. infantis, was also found to support the gastrointestinal health of newborns.
