Solgar is proud to introduce a truly dairy, lactose, and milk-free acidophilus/bifidobacteria product: our newly reformulated Advanced Acidophilus Plus Vegetable Capsules. This proprietary formula, developed by Solgar over the course of several years, is unique in that no dairy is used whatsoever in the manufacturing process.
Nearly all other milk-free probiotic products on the market are grown on a culture medium that contains milk. Once the growth of the probiotics is complete, they are separated from the milk media and put in a dairy-free base. However, because Solgar is always striving to better our formulations, we were dedicated to finding a way to culture our probiotics without the use of milk - and we succeeded.
Advanced Acidophilus Plus is 100% safe for people who are allergic to, or choose not to eat, dairy. The formula is refrigeration-optional. Each capsule delivers 250 million viable microorganisms of L. acidophilus and B. lactis each. These beneficial bacteria help support digestive health, boost immune function, and maintain a healthy balance of intestinal flora.
